If I were a 20 year old going to college for the first time, what would San Diego have to offer for me outside of the school world. Social Life? Vibrancy? Cheap Rent? Fun places? Attractive girls? Intellectual girls?

What do you think?

Let's see, we've got a top tier institution, with Nobel prize winning professors. So clearly, the education is there for you to grab.

Pretty girls? What do you think? College, young women away from home for the first time, uh, duh.

Things to do? If you're in college and you can't find things to do, something is wrong with you. I managed to find plenty to do in the middle of a soybean field where the temps would drop below zero. If you can't find something to do here, that's for lack of effort.

Nobody's going to spoon feed it to you. You'll have to go out and get it. But it's there if you want it.

I'm being facetious...it's SoCal, your questions have obvious answers.

Yes, yes, no, yes, yes, sort of

You'll also get a high cost of living, high taxes, and a business environment that discourages job creation. Oh, and ~15% of your salary in the form of "sunshine dollars".

San Diego is a terrific city. I love it. I just wish it wasn't part of California.
