Stayed here a couple of days at a time over the years to unplug or have a nice weekend with friends. Preferred the location of the Loews to the Del.

Not in the same class as the Grande in Del Mar or the Lodge @ Torrey Pines but decent.

Looks like they are doing a documented video refresh of the hotel.

Loews is nice!
I've stayed there a couple of times (best rooms)
signonsandiego deals of the day will usually have some great deals for lowes of Coronado hotels!

When I stayed there, I didn't leave Coronado the entire time .... my only SD time consisted of the airport. :/

It is a beautiful property with so much to do!

Watched my friends' 2 boys here while the friends celebrated their anniversary with a gondola ride and dinner. The hotel had a free kids treasure hunt that ended up at the bakery for free desserts. So I explored the whole property. The kids liked the finches, pingpong and outdoor chess, while I liked the pool and beer selection. Definitely a great resort, but the remote location could be an issue for those that don't like the trapped resort feeling
