Do you think the Mexican Cartels were behind San Diego's Pension Reform???

It makes sense...Take away the pension, Less recruits will come to San Diego Force over other Lucrative cities. The Force will get weaker, making their Cartel's influence greater...and easier for their operations.

Default um.....

I think the giant sucking sound in the budget was the contributing factor. Unless you see some organized labor to organized crime linkage (no that has never happened before cough cough vegas cough) I doubt the cartels even figure into it.

I seriously doubt it.

Besides - it's federal laws that are supposed to keep them on their own side of the border and also enforce the drug laws and obviously the federal government has no interest in doing so. In fact -- look at Arizona and how much the Obama administration is attacking that state for trying to have federal laws enforced.

The cartels have absolutely no problem now bringing over truckloads of illegals and drugs. The borders simply are not being enforced for whatever reason.

There are cultural boundaries as well as physical ones. Mexicans in general do not trust the gringo and the residents here think the Mexicans are lazy. These basic barriers prevent much cooperation among the thieves on both sides of the border.
