So im moving to San Diego for good in a cpl of days! Can someone please tell me where the best apartment / condos are for rent? I prefer a one bedroom but will settle for a studio for under $1500 a month. Also a place that has parking for two cars, washer / dryer in unit and AC. Please help! im not having any luck.

A one bedroom for less than $1,500 won't be a problem. To give you an idea, I'm paying $1,250 for a pretty decent sized studio. I could have paid $100 more for a one bedroom but it was actually smaller! I figured why pay an extra $100 for less space and a door?

What are you looking for? Where do you want to be? What's important to you?

Give me some idea of that and I can probably help.

I did a quick search with the criteria you've mentioned on Hotpads.com. Check out this link:

Downtown rentals under $1500

Hope this helps.

Can you get 2 parking spaces if you are only renting a studio or a 1 bedroom? I'm guessing might need a 2 bedroom to get two spaces. Different areas of downtown (Little Italy, Cortez Hill, Gaslamp, East Village, etc) have different vibes so make you sure choose the one that fits you best.

You can always purchase an extra spot if there is one available. Check before you rent.

We had a 1br (plus den) with 2 spaces in Cortez hill...one space was on a lift. we never used it since we had one car. The price was a higher than your range though. There are likely other properties more in range but they may or may not have a space included. There is also street parking by permit ($15 every 6 months),but it is pretty tight. If one of you came home from work, got a street space and did not leave until morning, it could be done....otherwise finding a space is difficult.
