Any advice on competitive adult soccer leagues around San Diego? I am willing to commute to make it work so North County, San Diego proper, Scripps, Chula Vista, etc. I'll play anywhere. There doesn't seem to be any good resource online. Lots of random outdated websites with very little info.

A former coworker of mine was on a team in the premier league in SD. I think it was called Samba (mostly Brazilians).

From what he described, there is a hierarchical system in the league whereas the winner of the league from a lower tier league will be invited to move up into a higher league, and the last place team of a higher league will move down.

They are very competitive.

There's also indoor soccer, which will have fewer players per team.

Sorry, I don't have any links, but you should not have trouble finding them.

Wait, the San Diego Soccers (San Diego Sockers) might be able to point you to these leagues.

I played in a league at Poway Sportsplex several years back. Its an indoor 5 v 5 setting with lots of pick up games in the summer evenings.

There was a fill 11 v 11 league that I went to try outs for in the winter time about 4 years ago (when I thought I could swing it lol) You can find the league here. These guys mostly played at Robb Field in OB back then. I am sure not much has changed though.

Its competitive but manageable especially if you are still fairly active and fit. Some post college players play in this league from local universities.

I'm lookin for something as well. I just relocated from connecticut and was used to playing at least once a week if not more for indoor leagues. We would get a team of about 8-10 together for 6 on 6 and paying the fees gets you 7 or 8 games with refs and standings and all that.

this is the closest i've found so far to that so trying to meet some people to get a team going. post up here if you find anything or wanna play man!
