I'm so stoked! I remember watching the live feed of the anticipated touchdown of Spirit and Opportunity. It was like watching paint dry. Then one engineer typed stuff into her computer, and ...
... the message showed up on the screen! And the crowd cheered!

And a bit later ...
... the first IMAGE showed up on the screen.

So, I have Griffith Observatory live feed on my Mac. And DH has the NASA TV feed re-directed to our TV. They both just went wacko. Too many people trying to access the server!

NASA TV seems to be more robust than Griffith Observatory. DH recovered his feed, and I don't have Griffith back yet ...

Very cool, indeed!

Glad NASA did better on Mars than they did with their live web feed.

Crazy what that craft had to go through to get the rover down safely.

If NBC was broadcasting it like they did the Olympics, we'd only get to see it in about 20 minutes. Gotta have it hit during prime time.

I didn't get to see it but I am very excited to see the images Curiousity is sending back! How cool would it be if it actually stumbled onto extraterrestrial life?
