I live south of SDSU. As an avid gardener I am sooo tired of the humidity. Some mornings I have to quit working and am back in the house by 8:30 AM, drenched in perspiration. Our nights are nice, never use AC at night. Don't need it, but glad to have it during the day. Some days it is nice to sit in the garden as long as you stick to the shade, other days it's too warm even to sit in the shade. Looking forward to a cool down and getting rid of this super humid weather.

It looks and feels like Puerto Vallarta out there right now.......cloudy, warm and humid. Might be a tough night to sleep if you don't have A/C.

Yup, there is nowhere to hide from this humidity: coast, inland, mountains etc

I am wondering if this will be holding true like Tony's post from NOAA about the warming and humidity trend here.

As said, this is coming up on the hottest part of the year for SD, really for all of coastal CA. As far as humidity, its always more humid in sd than elsewhere on the west coast. In fact the dew points are typically the highest west of the rockies. That real east coast like sufficating humidity is normally a 3 of 4 day thing. However each year it seems to get longer and longer. My last day in sd last year the dew point was around 71 or 72. tied with Tampa Fl! From what everyones saying here it sounds like a typical SD summer.

Makes me glad i am no longer there. that sort of weather effected my health which i realize now. One thing for those who like the beach on hot days, SD only varies about 20 Degrees between beach and inland. Here in the bay area that difference can be as much as 40 degrees!

We are inside since 1400. 87 degrees felt like much hotter in Poway.

Yep...it's been humid the past month. We have kept our AC on fairly constantly for the past month. On days like today with the humidity, I definitely wouldn't want to be with no AC.

It's the monsoonal flow. They had some serious thunderstorms in the east county earlier today and we might even get some by the coast!

I'm trying not to complain about the month+ long heat and humidity, because the ocean swimming is great. I can get out of the water after work during the week and not be the least bit chilly, even into the evening. So I'll see that as a positive. That, and it's pretty

miserable during the day,I get to think about how good it's going to feel when I hit the waves later.
