We went to Cavalia last week and really loved it. The show is really great and the performers were wonderful. We did the VIP thing and the kids really were amazed and so great to see the beautiful horses up close.

After seeing the show it makes it all the harder to believe that Remley guy even TRIED to compete Valitar at the same time! This guy must have had a screw loose trying to compete at the same time as this show.

The tickets were pricey but there were tons of employees and staff. It makes me wonder how much money can really be made on these shows. The tent/seating wasn't really that big. The show we went to sold out but even still, it has to cost a fortune producing these types of shows.

It was a great show.

Cavalia sounds awesome, glad you had a good time!

It looks like 2nd lawsuit has come out for Valitar.

Hey Shmoov,

Yeah, I saw that last night on the news. I was surprised that Elite Show Services would deal with the Remley's as they already owed them money before.

People like the Remley's really annoy me. I guess he will find out what goes around comes around and get some bad karma.

That red tent is massive! We drove a few weeks ago around the Del Mar Racetrack for the Christmas Lights display so we drove past the red tent. Man it's massive. I still can't believe this guy thought he could pull it off at the same time as Cavalia.

Del Mar is where the show was being held, and Elite has the Del Mar contract, which is why they dealt with them.

Interesting moved. Still, you'd think that if monies were owed to Elite by the Remleys then they could have still demanded that such funds were paid prior to putting up this tent.

No way I as a vendor would provide extensive services again to someone that already owes me money and already was delinquent. And it would seem strange if the Fairgrounds forced them into providing these services.

If so, it sounds like Elite took a calculated and foolish gamble and lost.

I don't think the the Fairgrounds forced them into providing the services, it's just part of the contract. I'm sure that Elite will get their money eventually, though.

Actually my son-in-law was hired to create the sets for the VIP Suite. Not only was he left unpaid but was also left with materials in his garage. All custom made. They had just bought a house and needed the money from that job to pay for the appliances. They got stiffed for almost $8,000. There are a staggering number of people who got jerked around and shafted. The guy better sleep with one eye open because somebody will probably come after him at some point. The performers were left stranded with no way to get home (some from other countries) and the designer was left with an astronmical out of pocket expense for the decor.
