I know he exaggerated a little but I'm sure he did see a few bodies out there on the street. I can't remember if it was Brooklyn or New York City he was talking about though.

Unless he was in Brownsville in 1987 I highly doubt it. Brooklyn has some of the nicest neighborhoods in all of New York, and some of the worst. Most visitors don't just wander their way into the heart of Bed-Stuy.

He definitely exaggerated. I'm from the NYC area and have plenty of friends there and it's very safe. I never saw a body once. The only place I ever saw a dead body was while living in Phoenix, driving by a car crash site. Twice, actually.

Maybe I should of mentioned it was a long time ago he went there. Maybe early 90's or so.
