The Candlelight Meditation Christmas concert at the San Diego Mission last night was just wonderful. We can be so proud of that choir! The concert is being repeated tonight, starting at 7:30, but you need to get there early to get parking and a good seat. Traditional Christmas music, and some less familiar pieces, plus short readings from the Bible. If you're worried about it being "very religious" don't--it's mainly Bible quotes as you know them from Handel's
Messiah and the Gospel of St. Luke. So: a low-key, festive celebration for most garden-variety Christians plus curious religio-tourists wanting to dip their toes in Christmas cheer
Dress warmly--the side doors to the chapel are open, and the old tile/stone floor is cold! Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
