Hi I desperately need help finding my dad an apartment. He has bad credit but steady income including retirement pension and social security. He cant stay with me but im willing to help him any way I can. I have good credit and I would be willing to sign on with him as long as I could get him in his own place.
Can someone please give me some advice on how to approach this issue? Im really scared he may wind up on the street because of his credit history, he doesn’t have any good or bad rental history as he lived with family most of his life, but now hes forced to relocate... Please help

Be honest and say you will co-sign is my advice. Someone may rent to ya under those conditions.

Call 211 & speak to a Representative about your aging parent's situation...this may narrow your housing search & possibly refer you to other services available. Best Wishes.

This. And don't co-sign or agree to co-sign until after you've talked with these people. Avoid risking your own good credit if you don't absolutely need to.
