Outstanding and very useful posts. Thank you all very much. This insight is definitely better than what I got from the COL sites or the chamber of commerce, real estate, etc. sites I have started reviewing.

I'm not materialistic so I am sure I could adjust in CA to the higher COL but I don't underestimate how the dollar won't stretch as far in SD as it does in Dallas. However, the weather and yes, good point, the traffic are getting to be things I'm tired of.

IsSD4Me,

De nada. Yes, there are some great posts on this board and great forum members. All those COL sites are all relative and sometimes don't provide too much detailed information. As well, sometimes they have a vested interest.

Also, take the time to read some of these threads on COL in San Diego. I took some time to put them all together.

If you do make it to San Diego, feel free to PM me and happy to invite you for a coffee or lunch and we can chat about our old "stomping grounds". Good luck.

Cheers.
