Yup, I don't mind it at all. I'm weird, I like (mostly) all of the weather we get here, just in different ways.

Y'all, you live in the top floor apartment in an unshaded part of a building with no cross breeze and no air conditioning (and poor insulation). You wouldn't like hot weather, either. Fans just blow hot air around, and evaporative coolers don't have an effect.

And yes, I know, move, but I can't for a while. (Saving up for portable A/C because we can't have window units here.)

Remember, I almost moved to Texas, which has less cool weather than we do. But there, all apartments have air conditioning. I grew up in Southern California plus lived in Texas a while back; I can handle hot weather as long as my place is air conditioned.

Without that, though, ahhhhh, winter..... ;-)

95 in my place when I got home from work today. No AC. Still 91 with every window in the place open.

It's so nice waking up at 4am and it's 82 degrees like this morning. Not!

This sucks.

I am certain they appreciate the AC just a little more than we do
My two have been hanging out in the bathroom, and I put the box fan in there for them. I'm using the ceiling fan, the cats come first. No A/C for me, don't like it, wouldn't use it. The last time I used it was when I lived in Chico, and that was over 10 years ago.

Yep. Today is gorgeous out. I don't complain with days like yesterday either. The way I figure it, it could be worse. And I'd rather deal with warmer temperatures vs. gloomy weather. But yeah, it would SUCK to not have AC when temperatures get up like that.

I'm one of those people that couldn't make it the entire year without AC in San Diego.

I know YOU know what I mean, when I say:"Coming from Texas weather, I will never, ever, complain about the weather here!"

We never did turn on the AC on yesterday. We found as long as we keep the house closed up with windows closed, the house stays pleasantly cool. We opened all the windows last night when the sun went down. Perfect!
