The visit today went very well... I have to say that we fell in love with the building. It has everything we want. Having said that I did noticed that it is not in a very walkable neighborhood. Not sure how much we would like and or miss the walkability because we've never lived in a downtown area and theres never much to walk to in the suburbs.
We visited 3 other places (Tuscany in Little Italy, Harbor View and Avalon Fashion Valley) of those we like Avalon the best but not as much as the Vantage Point. How is Fashion Valley BTW?!

Tomorrow we'll visit another high-rise downtown (don't remember the name but its close to thee Vantage Point and it has some triangular balconies).

I will look into Marina/Sea Port and see if I can find anything in our price range (2bd and $2500)

Always appreciate suggestions and input!!! Thank you so much We are more in love with this place by the minute.

I find the fashion valley and mission valley area so overpriced. It's really a mall area that gets too crowded with traffic.
It's close to everything with 8, 163, 805, etc depending how far along you live on that strip, but it's also not close to anything in that sense unless you love the mall. To me it just seems like an area built for college kids or young roommates who might think a 3 bedroom for 2500 isn't that bad when split 3 or 4 ways. When it's a family, it just seems to be a rip off considering there is nothing special about that area and nothing that special about those condos and apartments.

Don't get me wrong some of those condos and townhomes are nice, but those places are always so much money and I'm not a mall person so it's a place I'd have to get in my car to go anywhere. And half the time I'd be stuck in and out of that damn traffic that always seems to get packed certain times of the day around there.

If I had to pay 2500 per month for a place, Little Italy would be far more interesting than Fashion Valley. And for the same price, maybe I get a little less space in Little Italy, but at least I'm in a cool place to walk around with things that go on like farmers markets, restaurants, etc, and I can walk or bike downtown or to the marina if I want to.. Fashion valley. For 2500 bucks I'm really looking at driving to places or just hanging out at the mall.
