I need to decide between those two by the latest tomorrow and I don't really know San Diego well. Let me know!

Rent will not be a considered. Two factors I am considering are:

1) Traffic
2) Safety

They are miles from each other. Where do you need to get to?

LOL. Yeah, like night and day. Like Shmoov, I'd see where you are working but I'd live in La Jolla ANY day of the week vs. Mission Valley.

A third vote for La Jolla. Mission Valley is a collection of shopping centers, with apartments shoe-horned in. La Jolla is an older neighborhood, and IMO much nicer.

You're kidding, right?

If you like nothing but strip malls, office buildings, and generic cookie cutter apartments for miles, then Mission Valley is for you.

If that's not your style, then don't even think twice.

All I can reply to this is the Rock N Roll Marathon disrupts Mission Valley, and the Holidays also cause a lot of traffic due to the proximity of the malls. Oh, and the Charger games (Football) also contribute to more traffic in Mission Valley.

Not sure of the traffic in La Jolla.

I know coming from North County that exiting the 5 at LJ Village Drive is just half the fun. (Meaning, still a ways to downtown.) Torrey Pines can be congested. There always seems to be something slowing down traffic as you near the village.

it seems llike most people like La Jolla, like I said earlier, I am only concerned about the traffic....someone told me that La Jolla has BAD traffic, which seems kind of weird to me.

How is the UTC area in La Jolla?

I will need to commute a lot as my job will send me to many places in San Diego County, they will try keeping me where I live. So that is why traffic is the number one concern I have.
