So if all this kissing is taking place, couldn't your family and friends all potentially have STD's as well, and not even know it?

Shouldn't you be worried at all times, and never let anyone kiss your grandchild .... ever?

And that would include you not kissing your grandchildren as well, assuming that you normally kiss people when you greet them?

I did read your OP and yes I knew it was your grandchild. But for purposes of this discussion it was just easier to refer to them as your child. But since this bothers you .....

Of course the principal (the person is a "pal") started an investigation, because overreacting parents have decided to make an issue of it.

Do you also think about your family and friends "putting their lips" on your grandchild's body as well?

Sounds like you want to make this event sound much worse than it is, since it's the teacher doing it.

"Paranoid" is putting it mildly.
The San Diego public grade school teacher IS A STRANGER, period. Does he/she/it have ulterior motives? Neither my granddaughters mother nor the parents of the other grade school children this teacher has kissed knows.

When the children say they are uncomfortable being in this teachers class because of the teachers actions there is a problem...

I am concerned about MY six year old granddaughter being kissed by a San Diego public school teacher... And lest you forget numerous other parents of children in this class are concerned...

I see where most people are coming from in this thread and appreciate everyones viewpoints and inputs BUT...

I am still waiting for an answer to my question, FOURTH TIME:

The principle says there is an investigation and the school will contact my daughter-in-law in "awhile" (direct quote from principle)

In this situation what would be a reasonable length of time?

Did the parents of the child have a sit down with the teacher and ask them not to kiss their kid? Have a little parent teacher conference, tell the teacher it bothers their child. I am sure the teacher would stop, if not you have cause to "go after them". One suggestion, you stay home, because you seem to fly off the handle over little things.

It has become an official police investigation due to the number of parents who are upset over this teachers classroom MO...

What STD can be transmitted by a kiss on the cheek or forehead? Please tell me, as the science on this must have changed.

Since no action has been taken one can assume that you are in the wrong here. The authorities are all to eager to remove potential issues from the lives of children. Your motivations to harm this person are in clear view for all to see. I would recommend that you consider you could be incorrect and let the authorities do their jobs. Bear in mind that to accuse someone of a crime as you suggest here and then found to be false the accuser is liable both criminally and civilly. I would recommend you consider your next steps very carefully. While this is a public form there are people here who if they believe your intent is malicious can alert the authorities to your own conduct. If it turns out to be a witch hunt that teacher can sue you.

You may want to consider that moving forward since you cannot pull back on the reins in this forum.

Little early to celebrate a possible closet pedo success... The police investigation just started...

Have I in any way impeded the police investigation, what crystal ball are you using?

IMO a public school teacher calling children to the front of the class and then kissing them is wrong, period.
And when the children themselves are uncomfortable being in the classroom with that teacher... I will err on the side of caution and the welfare of the children first...

Bear in mind that to accuse someone of a crime as you suggest here and then found to be false the accuser is liable both criminally and civilly.[/quote]

I didn't accuse anyone, I voiced my personal opinion of the teacher. This is a public discussion/suggestion/help board is it not? If I ruffled your feathers I apologize, my opinion of the teacher stands... live with it.

Fine and good, let them. I didn't mention any school names, any family names nor the teachers name.

What YOU might want to consider is why can't anyone answer my question?

Do I care about "pulling in the reigns?

~NO~

Sue me....

Thank you very much. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
As I just told someone else:

I didn't mention any school names, any family names nor the teachers name.

So whose career did I ruin? I wasn't the one of the parents who went to the schools principle over this teacher, all I'm trying to do is get an answer to my question. Obviously the question is too profound for someone such as yourself...

Have a good day

And just how do you know where the teacher kissed the students?
