This is already causing anguish to my kids! They were so disappointed to learn that teachers don't work for the Federal government . . .

I'm going to Mammoth this weekend, and part of my plan was to explore the Devil's Postpile area. My fingers are crossed that this mess will be resolved by then!

Today was really effed up. I hope they get this....straightened out.

I don't know nor do I care whose fault it is, just get it straightened out. I learned a long time ago not to get involved into the "politics". I can't stand either side.

Republicans are trying to ram through their failed plank from the 2012 election. They couldn't win at the ballot box so now they are trying to force their agenda on the nation. You guys lost. Stop acting like spoiled brats, grow up and pass a clean CR. When you lose the last 2 presidential and Senate elections you don't get to dictate what gets unfunded or delayed. Obama won't negotiate. Reid won't negotiate. And if Boehner doesn't get his baggers in line the party will get nuked in the 2014 mid-terms.

When President Zero found out his golf course would not be affected by the shutdown, he was fine.

What's with this partisan crap? Do any of you have kids? It doesn't bother you they will be suffering for our mistakes? How is that partisan? Oh no, the State Park is shut down for a few days. Really? This spiral of national debt is permanent and no one seems to care so long as they get their junk mail.

Right, while Americans who provide vital services are sidelined and not getting paid to prevent others from getting any health coverage, Congress continues to get paid their six figure salaries, and keep their platinum health care 100% paid for by the taxpayers. If they get away with this, next time it might be Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid that they're shutting the government down over.

Seems spot on again calling out the treasonous Tea Party and their allies / lapdog poodles (GOP) for breaking the US constitutional law:
