We have been coming to San Diego on our vacation for 5 years now and have seen lots of local sights in the gas lamp district. This year there are fewer to be seen.One particular is the flag man that occupied the corners of Market St and 5th ave. What has happened to him? has he moved to a new area in town?

I saw this guy one time after dinner with the family at Spaghetti Factory on 5th. He is by far the only street performer to confuse me and then put a big smile on my face. He earned $5 dollars from me that evening. Here it looks like he is at Seaport Village.
The rock balancer guy at Sea Port Village is another popular performer.
I am not sure which flag guy you are referring to.

The flag guy, if I think it's who you're talking about, would wave a bunch of flags around while dancing to music. With his shirt off. Not exactly the kind of thing the restaurants want, so I am sure they got the cops to tell him to go away.
