When "nature calls" you have to answer. I suppose you can keep a bucket in your car...lol

Btw, I don't believe this OP but I'm playing along because I'm bored.

This is true, and when "nature calls," sometimes it's urgent, and in a car would pose a problem.

I live in a condo complex and the public streets are already taken up after five pm by people who live here (we park in our garage).

All you guys who are calling "doom and gloom" on this idea - don't you know that there are already a lot of women sleeping in their cars in San Diego (and elsewhere)? It most certainly can be done! Yes, it has an element of being more dangerous than sleeping in a home. But not nearly as dangerous as sleeping in the park, which is where most homeless (men and women alike) are victimized. And it's not like the OP is relying on this lifestyle to survive - she's proposing to have an adventure.

OP, go for it! Just be aware of the vulnerabilities, and take care of yourself.

Many blm campgrounds have toilets. We use them during hunting all the time. The downside of the desert is night time low temps which remain below freezing. That gets old fast. Some areas get some snow but the worst is the rain which turns everything to mud. Now, it only rains about a week total but hunkering down in a vehicle to stay dry is not a good time! I use a small Coleman propane heater (Big 5 especial) for the time after dark before bed and again first thing in the am to get the chill out of the tent. You can use these inside a vehicle if you have to but leave a window cracked.

On the plus side you will having amazing days out there! Not a cloud in the sky and mid 70s during midday. It makes you want to curl up in a hammock and take a nap!

Why not the Walmart parking lot?
I had herd a while back that Walmart is Ok with people staying in their parking lots.
Why not find a Sugar Daddy while you're here in San Diego and stay rent free.
San Diego is full of dirty old Men

Many Walmarts in larger cities (including San Diego and Poway) are prohibiting overnighting in their parking lots.

This is true. If you want to park overnight, you have to ask permission from the manager on duty, but there are signs up that say, "overnight parking prohibited."

You will continually have to move around because people rightly so will not like the idea of someone sleeping outside their house or apartment.

I just don't get it. You ask why should you downgrade to an apt. or room, when you have a house? Sleeping in your car isn't a downgrade?? You say you dress business like, so no one would suspect you are homeless...yet you say all you need to work is a Internet connection.
