That's how my friend found all her stuff, got the cops involved and busted up the ring last year. There was a network of dirtbags that would steal crap and divide it up at all the swap meets to unload it as fast as possible. Many people that bought stuff thinking they got great deals had to hand it over with no compensation. I think they steered them towards some type of victim's fund but it sounded like a real pita to get any money back.

The victim's fund involves filling out a sheet with what you lost and what the value was, and that's it. I'm rocking the $6 (on average- they've been as high as $55 and as low as $3.50) restitution checks every month from Miss Tweeker McGee who's in prison for burglarizing my home. I know it ain't much, but each check is a teensy little "In your FACE!" from me when I cash it

Yep, from our office window I can see the tents set up right now. It looks like they meet on the East side of The Q parking lot.

I thinks I shall stop by there after work.

Hey malcorub, did you manage to go after work? Any thoughts? I had to postpone until next week.

No dice shmoov, I got stuck at the office later than expected then had to rush home for daddy duty. Too bad because it was an awesome evening to be outside. I might be joining you and jenkay next Wednesday, just look for the man with all the kids.

Correction to my last statement, the Swap Meet is on the West side of The Q, not the East. I got a little turned around.
