Not having been here I can see people getting pretty worked up for the rain that is coming. Sounds like a little over reaction? I am driving from Poway to Encinitas am and pm the next few days. Hope people stay on the road.

AA, I think you know very well what happens when we get a deluge in So Cal after not having had one in a long time. Hint: avoid the highways, expect accidents.

Best thing to do is go to the national weather service site for information directly from the source. Put in your zip code for your area forecast, then click "forecast discussion" and "hourly weather graphs" to get a detailed, scientific view. (Sorry, I dork out on this stuff. Minored in meteorology)

But yeah, looks like tomorrow at least should be a gully washer- looks like a couple of inches of rain in a short period is expected, which is quite a lot for us

It better live up to the hype! The news said that we haven't had this much rain at one time since March of 2011.

Chaos at the supermarkets!

I hope everyone got their weeks supply of milk, bottled water and bread to get them through this monster storm

All kidding aside, be safe everyone especially on the roads

I'm very excited about the rain. I'm hoping for some actual thunder, that would be awesome. I'm going to take my car out of the garage just for the free car wash.

Maybe Ms. Prell is right, head for the hills. Actually, they're supposed to get hit worse.
As Sargeant Esterhaus said on 'Hill St. Blues', "Let's be careful out there".
