My FIL is crossing the border into Tijuana late tonight to get to Tijuana airport.

My hubby intends to drive him from San Diego to the Mexican border. My FIL will walk across then catch a cab to the airport.

Is this relatively simple and safe?

Any tips?

TIA

Yes, it is. It's very easy. Once your FIL crosses the border, it will be very easy for him to catch a cab. All he has to do is walk down the steps, make a left, and he'll be directed to a cab. Very simple.

Thanks

Some travel blogs really hype up the danger factor, especially at night, so I thought I'd better check here. Get a realistic opinion.

Cheers.

I wouldn't go walking alone around in one of the shanty towns down there but at the airport you will be perfectly fine.
