It reached a staggering 95 degrees in Laguna Niguel yesterday, and I am not that far from the ocean. It was shocking.

As long as we don't have a rolling black out we will survive this...So turn stuff off and save electricity while AC is on (wash dishes, laundry off peak).

If San Diego blacks out, we will too up here since we are on the same San Diego power grid.

Title of this thread should be "whats up with this humidity". I've lived my whole life (53) here in socal and I cant ever remember so much humidity. It seems like all summer it's been humid. if I wanted this I would move to Chicago.

I moved here from NH a few months ago. My friends that live here told me we were moving to a place where New England heat and humidity didn't exist. I have ribbed them several times about this since!

Very glad to read that this is not the "norm." I am so happy that Wednesday is coming and the heat is supposed to break.

its really, really gross. It's worse than summer in the Midwest cause I'm not used to it anymore, it feels like hell. Thank God I have AC but I hate going outside, at night its ok but I'm just so tired of the sun and the humidity.

I like that its warmer here than Ventura was, but man!

Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego forum's top trending threads on City Data the last few days have been about the wheather.

Other SoCal forum, Riverside/San Bernadino, don't seem to be complaining so much. Just an observation I had.

Just looked up my zip code (92019). Since July 1st there have been only two days when the high temperature for the day peaked below 80 degrees. Even worse, only once in the last twenty-three days has the low been lower than the average for the date. Over the last nine days, the actual low has been ten or more degrees higher than the normal low five times! Accuweather is saying that it won't be until October 2nd before temperatures fall back to having highs in the 70s. Two such days in three months is ridiculous.
