My son just moved to Chula Vista. He is interested in the following studies:

1) English as a second language (mostly needs oral/hearing work)
2) Courses in web design (html, css, js, etc)

South Western has some ESL courses and we are 'considering' these. They do not offer the other courses.

My son has a 4-year degree from a non-US university and is not interested in an MBA. This would just be adult education and is not intended to be full-time.

Considering where he is located, can anyone recommend some college or university to attend. As always, thanks to this board for the wonderful support!

Continuing Ed and Chula Vista Adult School both offer ESL classes. SDCC Continuing Ed also offers web design classes.

San Diego Continuing Education offers a lot of web development courses at their North Campus in Clairemont. There is one in particular of interest. Can anyone tell me how much time it takes to drive from Chula Vista to Clairemont by 805? I would like to know both at rush hour and normal traffic times.

I wouldn't drive there from CV during rush hour. Non rush hour would take about 30 minutes max, depending on traffic.

About 4 years ago, I took a couple of Microsoft Access courses at the North City Campus on Aero Drive. Its 100% free and you really do learn alot if you apply yourself. I still use Access on a daily basis and many of the skills leared at those Continuing Ed courses. I think its worth the 20-30 Minute drive from Chula Vista.

If you want to avoid traffic, take evening courses.

There is one course from 12:30 - 5:00 on Thurs and another one (similar course) between 5:30 - 9:00. Both would require driving from Chula Vista to Clairmont on 805. Which one do you think would be a better choice as far as traffic is concerned?

I think part of would depend on which direction the traffic goes on 805 at those times of day. Sorry for all these questions but I have never been to San Diego.
