Hi all,
It has been over 4 years since I have been in San Diego and after living in both Missouri and Texas, I am finally moving back to the area and I am single. Because it has been several years, I have forgotten what the local hotspots are for young 20 something year-old guys like myself to meet the older (i.e. women in their 30's and 40's) ladies. Where should I start? Maybe "Sassberto" or "Encinitan" could help me out as they where big contributors to this site back then.

Anyway, I am definitely excited to be moving back to the area. Four years in the land-locked midwest has humbled me and made me appreciate the scenic beauty of the West Coast even more.

In Encinitas, try a happy hour at Wine Steals or Zenbu or Union.

La Jolla is where the cougars prey on young men... and where young men go to be dominated on by older women.

Things have changed a lot in San Diego since you left.
If you're into country music I have some spots to recommend other than that
Everything is online now, Match.com ect.......

94th Aero Squadron in Kearny Mesa.

Cougars galore.

But to be honest, I doubt some of these ladies would actually disclose that they're really "single".

so you are moving back to SD and looking specifically for a cougar? great. Why not just go online and make yourself clear what you are looking for so as not to damage anyone with your intentions. They might be older but this sounds predatory (on your part) and not all older women will appreciate the sentiment.

I know of no such places where young men go to meet older women.

Places like Del Mar and La Jolla have a few 'hot spots' where older women are looking for younger men and vice versa. If you live in either place, there are many jokes around these topics. Not sure why you get offended over what other people do or look for. I mean there used to be a place in La Jolla called Jack's that was known as the Cougar bar.

stereotypes do not always reflect reality...

women don't go to specific bars thinking "this is the cougar place where I will meet the 20 somethings who are looking for me"

You have never been to any of these places have you?

There were always certain places where older men went to look for younger women. Las Vegas was populated with 60 year old rich men with 30 and under attractive women. Some people gawked, others were nodding, and so on. These days there are plenty of recently divorced, widowed, etc older women with money who want to talk to and date younger men.

Not sure why you think because you don't like it, nobody else does.

I love how men understand the motivations of women so much better on these boards than actual women. lol.

Of course some women like to date younger men. But its not like its common knowledge that there are specific places for such "transactions" to occur almost like a gay bar. At least that is usually a little more transparent but generally women will go out to have fun and the men will follow. If women are actually looking for younger men they will go to the places the younger men hang out, not some specific place with other older women that cater to young men. That's a club not a bar.
