Where was this picture taken? I'm trying to figure out is it pointing north/west/east (my thoughts)

The Sheraton on Harbor Island. It is pointing North.

Yep, right across the street from the airport. You can see the entrance to MCRD at the top. And isn't it technically North West Is that on top of the Sheraton?

Yep, Harbor Island, Point Loma in the distance, sub base on the left.

Looking West, this is Harbor Island, which is just south of Lindburgh Field (airport) background of harbor is Point Loma.

yes that is all right....Harbor Island at the marina.....Many marinas look EXACTLY the same here....
