Interested in seeing what $250,000 buys in LaJolla or anywhere on the coast.

ok...so go look it up, like I did lol

They are not beach homes. There are some condos, not right on the beach (except some on or near the water in mission bay). But there are actually quite a few in lajolla, again not steps from the ocean but not exactly in Ramona, they are in Lajolla.

Some are pretty decent.

I even filtered the search to rule out foreclosures (Which there are plenty of too....)

Oceanside. Some areas are fine, some not so much.

to be honest this thread was helpful to me because it never even occurred to me a condo could be affordable in any of these areas....which makes the thought of staying here as a single person much more attainable to me.

They are not luxury places....but if its possible to find one in Lajolla it leads me to believe there are some very good deals to be had as you travel away from the water (which was certainly reflected in my map search).

I hadn't thought about owning here really but looking at the mortgage prices compared to my rent ....wow. I have a little more to think about now.

crazy amount of foreclosures, I wish I was more savvy....maybe one day lol

Don't forget to factor in 200-300 for condo fees on those listings
