It's not just CA, any area with a transient and mobile population has this issue and does enforcement actions occasionally.

Here in the DC area is another notorious area for people moving in and not registering their cars (full disclosure, I was one such 30 years ago).

I am not about to turn in anyone.....BUT, i do think paying registration to the State in which you reside is only fair.

Welcome to the Golden State. We're glad you came for the weather. Time to pay up.
So is it worth the immorality of ratting out your neighbors that you borrow sugar from? What is the actual lesson? Teaching people to tattle on their neighbors to the police (with the force of law)...Is that what you want your children to emulate? Really? Think about it.

There is a great movie on exactly this subject. Scent OF A Woman with Al Pacino. You might want to watch it and consider what kind of person you really are inside.

I can guarantee that Encinitans' buds do not trust him/her as far as they can throw 'em

And Californians think that this ratting out is normal....just another tool in the kit. Hah!

Just slow down, ok. Don't tell me how to raise my kids or find out what kind of person I am inside. If my neighbor was breaking the law, would I turn them in? Maybe. Why wouldn't I want to have my children do the same?
In this thread, I'm simply advocating for fairness and not ripping off the system. Do I teach my kids that? Yes I do.

The only thing you can guarantee is that you have no idea what you're talking about, you don't know me, or my "buds" and you type things on a message board that you wouldn't say to my face. Guaranteed.

Great; another person who values the system over his neighbors friendship. I know you just fine.
