I've been narrowing it down a bit, some of which includes UPack and Continental. The reviews online are not very helpful as they seem to be largely negative. What is the best long distance moving service you have found? We will be reimbursed up to $6000. Thanks.

We used Priority Moving (Priority Moving Company - San Diego Movers for Local & Long Distance San Diego Movers) twice in combination with PODs.

San Diego to Dallas
San Jose to San Diego

You will need to find an equiv. moving company in the city you are moving to, but often they can recommend someone.

Essentially, you use movers to load/unload the PODs. My wife did the packing of the boxes while I was at work.

This will be the most economical means outside of renting a truck and convincing friends/family into helping you move (which sucks).
