Ive recently accepted a new job on Ruffins/Aero Drive. Personally not really wanting to live north of there. I would like to be within 10-25 min commute from the office. Not looking for something super rural or suburbia nor super urban. All suggestions are welcome, 28 yr old single male here.

What's your rental budget? What type of area do you want to live in? Uptown, downtown or suburbs?

Tierrasanta. Easy commute. Not extremely urban, also not rural. Family-oriented, though, so you may feel a touch out-of-place there, socially.

Given that the only criteria given has been the length of the commute, an obvious choice would be the large apartment complexes in Mission Valley near Qualcomm, or the new Civitas complex slightly west at the intersection of 805 and Friars Road. In both cases you could drive east on Friars to Mission Village Drive, and north to Aero Drive. This area is all new, automobile oriented, and anti-septic. But I don't know if that would be a plus or minus for you.

Since you are young and single, try Mission Valley or the areas around SDSU if you are looking to not be single forever. These ares are neither super rural, super suburban, nor super urban.

Serra Mesa. You can roll out of bed to get to work and there are a variety of housing situations for you.
