We will be in SD for ~10 days around Christmas and New Year's for our honeymoon. I have explored every "things to see/do" website but wanted to ask locals their suggestions for things that don't make the obvious lists. Non-chain restaurants of all kinds? Unique sites to see? Cool local bars? Etc?

General rule of thumb: if it has bars on the windows, looks sort of grimy and the signs are in Spanish, it's good.

General rule of thumb: if it has bars on the windows, looks sort of grimy and the signs are in Spanish, it's good.
