Hello all (first post!),
My wife and I are moving to San Diego next month and we're looking for somewhere to stay temporarily (for a month or so) until we can have a look around the neighbourhoods and find something more permanent. We'd considered the Extended Stay in Fashion Valley (I'll be working at Rady Children's Hospital) but it doesn't seem to get good reviews - can anyone recommend an alternative with similar facilities, ie kitchenette, parking etc?

Thanks in advance.

Marriott Residence Inn... Tell the Manager your situation and they may work something out with you. Think free breakfasts room cleaning they shop for you put it in your fridge and don't charge a dime.

btw the Extended Stay is awful

Thanks AADAD, we'll check that out. Looks like we dodged a bullet with the Extended Stay, just as well we didn't book straight away!

You bet, closest to Rady's is 5 miles away Mission Valley. Published rate is $149.00. If you have government ID state or fed you may get a discount? I would talk with the manager see what they can do. Also be sure to register for Marriott Rewards. Great program. Rady's is top notch. My daughter works there.
