Hey Guys, I'm relocating from UTC to San Marcos and I'm not sure which beach would be closest for me. I usually go to Pacific Beach or walk around Mission Bay. Feeling a little nervous about being so far inland and not near water. Any advice? Thanks!

Your two closest options are probably in south Carlsbad. Palomar Airport Road pretty much dead ends at Terramar/Carlsbad State Beach, or you could hit South Ponto at the western terminus of La Costa Ave. However, Encinitas beaches may not be much further depending on where you actually are in San Marcos (San Elijo Hills?), so maybe Leucadia or even Moonlight Beach might be options.

OP, it depends on where you are in San Marcos. The replies above are based on taking side streets. If, however, you are going to the beach on the 78 (or even the Sprinter), which is quite likely unless you live in the San Elijo Hills, the closest beach to the 78 is in fact where the 78 ends (and the Sprinter): Oceanside.
