im moving to the SD area from Denver. I telecommute, so distance & traffic has no factor in my decision. I do however need a solid internet connection (preferably a data port)
Question 1: does anyone know of temporary housing for possibly a month so I can learn the area.
I've visited a few years ago, and really like the LaJolla area, & North County.
Question 2: What other safe areas are closer to the ocean. I'm single, in my 30's, so I'm just looking for a modest sized 1 bedroom apartment. Any neighborhoods or complexes you could recommend?

My budget: I make $86K a year. I don't have many other payments (car paid off, etc.) but I would like to continue saving so I prefer a rent around $1500 or less. Could go higher but that's my goal.

Thanks in advance!

Check the beach areas (Mission and Pacific) for month to month rentals.

Go Broncos!

I'd recommend Airbnb.com

Lot's of choice and flexibility with many many different rental options. Great way to scout different neighborhoods too. No complicated rental contracts or anything like that.
