Thank you all for the feedback, my work will be in Chula Vista and I liked the area of Woodcreek Estates in El Cajon because of the security and secluded of the area so none of the issues mentioned apply on that specific area.
Otay Mesa or Otay Ranch seems to be the best option but the sqft would be considerably less......., and I didn't think of Eastlake but thanks for the heads up, I'll get more info about this area.
I already checked the "crime" zones for these areas on several websites including police, trullia, and zillow and they are "Green" which means no crime has been reported on any of those zones that I'm considering.
The commute from el Cajon is 35 minutes according to google maps so that's ok, but would prefer to stay under a 25min commute............ As far as the weather goes I'm not concerned about it, I used to live in Mexico and Brazil so I know what hot weather is so San Diego's weather is like paradise for me

Neither El Cajon or Chula Vista have bad climates. Either people in most of the world would about kill to live in.

I don't personally think 35 minutes is a really bad commute, but I'd factor in traffic too. My commute from EL Cajon to Kearny Mesa would take me 45 minutes in rush hour and it was only like a 16 mile trip.

That being said look at houses in El Cajon as well as CV areas and once you find your perfect house in whichever area you wind up living in I doubt you'll be unhappy either way.

Thank you very much, my wife and I appreciate your help.
I'll continue searching in those areas because I'm planning to move by July.
Thanks,
