Looking to buy a suit for a 14 year old. My budget is $200 because he's growing too fast. I have till this weekend to find him a suit.
And Go!

I'd go to a big department store you find in the mall. Sometimes Jos A Bank has good deals/sales too

Have you tried Burlington Coat Factory, there is one in La Mesa, at least last time I checked.

Good luck hitman!

Is it for a single occasion? Can you rent a suit for him?

Depending on the occasion, and the size of your 14 year old, you may find a very nice suit jacket at a thrift, consignment, or retro store, and then match up a pair of black slacks. The slacks often don't survive with the jacket, but the jackets themselves are plentiful and sold for dirt cheap.

I've bought a couple suits there. Not the highest quality but not bad either. I seem to remember spending about $200 20+ years ago so doubtful you can get something for that price today.

Macys. Donald Trump has his own line of suits believe it or not and they ran me $99. Wore it to a upscale socialite event and nobody looked any different than I did....its all about how you wear it.

If you wear a cheaper suit with really nice shoes no one will ever know it is a cheap suit.
