Not likely to find more professional women in SD than you are in South OC...welcome to my world....have you considered Santa Monica?

Apartments for Rent in Ocean Beach, San Diego, CA - 22 Rentals

Besides North County you could check out the Point Loma/Ocean Beach areas. Above is a link to apartments for rent in those areas.

I'm 30 YO, and love running - I prefer trails if possible. I'm looking for a good neighborhood for a single male, only problem is I don't drink. I live 5min from the beach in South OC now, closer would be better.

I have two questions:
1. Would you all recommend SD?
2. Where would you recommend?
I'm in South OC often and would not want to be living there if I were 30 and single. Check out Downtown SD or Del Mar.

You aren't going to find many peofessional single men or women in places like Del Mar or Carlsbad. And while Encinitas has a better scene, it will depend on what you consider professional people. North County is known far more for families and older people than young singles. And places like Encinitas have far more of a hippie, artist, surfer and hipster vibe over some 32 year old lawyer.

If Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, are bad for finding single women, not sure how you'd ever like North County.
