Hello! We are narrowing down neighborhoods to purchase a home. Most basic information is accessible online but I can't find information on air pollution. My kid has some asthma issues so we're trying to avoid areas that might exacerbate it.

The problem is, most of the areas we're drawn to are sort of near freeways (North Inland). Like Carmel Mt Ranch has a cluster of homes right near the 56/15. At least one 2013 Voices of San Diego article pinpointed Mira Mesa as having dangerous levels of air pollution for a school right off Mira Mesa Blvd.

The city air health quality site is actually pretty vague and doesn't seem to collect data in the area we're interested in. This one: Air Pollution Control District County of San Diego

Thanks for any tips or insights.
