I get on the 8 West from the 125 at about at 6:20 every morning and the bottle neck in around college area and down around the 805 have gotten really bad the last couple of months, Hence me starting this thread!

I feel ya Hitman, traffic everywhere has gotten much worse recently. Even street traffic is incredibly bad, and you wonder what the hell do people do for a living that allows them to be out in about early to the middle of the day. Not to count the thousands of possibly single moms with strollers walking down the street all over the place, at all times.

The 8 East around 4:00 pm tonight was backed up in every direction, I don't know what happened, maybe an accident? But it's insane seeing it that jammed packed at that time. I know it's Friday and people are getting out early from work and what not, but Gawd Damn I've never seen anything like it!!

I also notice the 8 West around La Mesa in the mornings is consistently backed up for miles now. Possibly more accidents are occurring that I am not aware of, but overall traffic here is definitely getting worse.

I wonder what the population stats will be for 2016 because there's way too many people now and SD seems more crowded and cramped than I could remember.

But I'm really trustworthy. Trust me.

It's about 25 miles from Eastlake Country Club to Mesa College according to Mapquest. 0530 is before the commute heats up. Even taking surface streets your buddy could beat 1 1/2 hours. He probably gets to work really early.

I drive up and down SD, OC, Inland Empire, LA on a regular basis. LA is another universe of suck. Inland Empire can be terrible as well, I have been stuck in traffic from Riverside all the way to Temecula before... But consistently, the worst traffic I encounter is in San Diego county. Today it took nearly 2.5 hours to get from Temecula to College area. I spent an hour getting from Mira Mesa Blvd to Balboa Ave. It took awhile, but our traffic is officially world-class bad.

If this all started a few months ago, it's probably about people going back to school after the summer break.

Until you've driven the 91, 22, 55 and 57 nightmare in Orange County, don't tell me about SD traffic. The 101 and 405 through LA likewise make our traffic look tame by comparison.

LA has to be the worst traffic in the world.... OC For me is rarely a problem but I don't take those east/west freeways very often, usually just up and down 5, 73

Nope. LA's a picnic compared to London.
