Just wanted to remind everyone that starting tomorrow, Macy's has Museum Month Passes available at all area stores. This pass is good for half-price admission to a huge number of local museums, including the ones in Balboa Park, the USS Midway, the Maritime Museum, Birch Aquarium, the Botanic Garden, and many more. The pass is free, good for up to four people, and can be used multiple times.

This is an excellent opportunity to try out some new and different museums.

Just went to the Museum of Man a few weeks ago where they had a devastating exhibit on the history of torture. Because I've gone with kids most times I've gone to Balboa, I've almost always gone to the Natural History or Science Center, but I really enjoyed the Museum of Man.

I'd love to check some of these out!

seems that exhibit has been around for half-a-decade, though the subject matter is one timeless for mankind as we know it, but time to refresh eh

This is a cool offer since I'll be in SD at the end of February on vacation, and we wanted to check out a couple of those places. I read the offer and it doesn't seem like once needs to be a local resident to get the pass. Anyone know for sure?

No need to be a local resident; we used the pass back in 2012 when we were here for a month. (And now we live here but haven't yet gotten CA drivers licenses so can't go to the resident free days since they require picture ID.)

Bump as a reminder that there's one week left on this deal. Consolation prize if you missed out on Comic-Con badges this morning! I gave it a shot hoping for a senior pass on the Sunday but alas never made it out of the waiting room.
