In Bonita, not too far from you, is Romesco--same chef/owner as Bracero downtown and a number of fine, excellent restaurants in TIjuana including Mision 19, Caesar, and Casa Plascencia ...order the Caesar salad prepared tableside, gobernadores tacos, and ahi tostadas for starters...good Baja wine as well...Mision 19 in TJ is more of a fine dining experience but Romesco is very good--Baja Mex seafood with some Italian dishes.

Baci Ristorante in Bay Park would be a place for fine Italian.

Just take 'em to the Del. They'll be impressed. I'm sure they do a brunch.

Hey, to each their own. You don't speak for the long lines of people who eat at a Phil's. Freedom of choice, bud.

Coasterra without any doubt. Early evening on the bay. Portions are generous and the food and service are very good. $$$

I like Phils and I like Coops. I think it is all personal taste.

I like Quatro Milpas as well and I know a lot of people here don't. Regardless, there is a line down the street to get in and they have been in business for decades...
