Hey everyone, quick question.

I have been in SD the last 3 years in Mission Valley. I am out of state and moving back in Feb and already secured an apartment. Curious what your thoughts are on the area

Its in Point Loma which I know pretty well. The condo is on Point Loma Blvd and Rue D Orleans..

Is this area alright?

That area is fine. Sort of a bizarre mixture of residential, office/industry and some strip malls, but safe enough. Pretty convenient to the 8 and close to the beach. It seems like its mostly condos around there, are you renting a condo or is an apartment complex?

I drive thru that area once in awhile. Lots of high-density housing with younger residents. Seems like both families and singles.

I suspect it's mostly petty stuff, and maybe auto theft. The only condo complex I can think of on Rue D Orleans is gated, so that should minimize auto theft.

yeah the crime map had petty junk only, and mine is the gated one... im pretty stoked to get there... kinda spendy, $1400 for a 1 bedroom 700 sq foot, but is fully furnished.

I drive by there twice a day (wearing a motorcycle helmet so you can smell everything) and looked at condos in there and never smelled a swamp smell.
