I've been loving the weather so far the past few weeks. Lots of gloomy days with sprinkling of rain and a bit on the cool side.

Some are saying this summer is going to be very hot, and I am NOT looking forward to that. Despite this image some may have of San Diego being an ideal climate with moderate temperatures, many places in SD county can get scorching hot and miserable.

So looking forward to winter again.

I feel the same way about summers here in Phoenix.....heat is good if you're going to, say....visit one of the lakes or water parks. And it's bad when you have to wait at bus stops, especially at the stops with little to no shade, and the bus is late.

Its that darn pesky May/June gloom we get in San Diego every year. Still its cold this week. Anyways may get super humid hot fall like we had in October. Had to crank up the A/C units and dehumidify to survive last time.

I call May/June in San Diego VIDEO GAMING weather! Its the best thing to pass time besides movies and popcorn. Not nice enough to go to the beach or walk outside when its grey and crappy cold outside.

This marine layer is about 1/4 mile deep. I've never seen anything like it and it stretches as far as you can see West.

Yes, we seldom get an all day marine layer effect where I live in Jamul, but for the last couple of weeks, it's been cloudy and grey (and even raining) here almost all day. I went further east looking for sun a few times, and didn't really find it until I hit Campo.

I don't mind the hot weather though -- that's what our pool is for.

No need to stay indoors completely as one can still walk outside in a windbreaker on the beach but terrible "summer" weather.
I hope this is not another on-set of a non-summer like 2010.

Last summer was the best summer in Southern California history with those warm SST, those record setting rainfalls from those hurricane remnants that prevented wildfires.

I hope the switch flips sometime in June and we get more warmth at the coast.
I don't like the large coastal-inland gradient in California.
Beaches should be warm in summer and inland shouldn't be super hot.
SST should be swimmable from June through September.
And the term "warm rain" should not be an oxymoron.

I do love the fact that we can enjoy mild to warm (and even occasional hot) weather in winter while most of the East Coast is dealing with cold though but prefer East Coast style summers. My ideal climate is Hawaii though.
