I've recently decided I would like to attend church again.
I am used to a very large "mega church" style. I used to go to one outside of San Diego.

I read reviews on Yelp and it seems that Rock church and C3 both are cult-ish and try to suck $ out of people. Not good.

Does anyone know of a large Christian church that isn't like a cult ?
I prefer the mega church environment because I like the music and vibe of a large crowd worship.
I am 29 and like a lot of energy and people.

Thanks !!!!

I used to go to Flood church back when they were near SDSU, now they have services at Kearny High. You might give them a try, its a young college crowd and young families. The biggest complaint on yelp is that the music is too loud, they are too "worldy" and the dress of the pastor and staff look like they came right from a bar in PB, to me this is why it was appealing to me when I was 20 something. The people were down to Earth and I could go to church in my 'chanclas' without anyone judging.

If they are large, they are after your money.

The way the present themselves, conduct "worship", music , dress, etc is designed to appeal to certain groups. They can't grow without money and the Pastors do VERY well.

Most organized religion is bunk. Find your own spiritual path.

Don't need any advice about my spiritual life from a stranger on the internet but thanks though.

A large Christian church that isn't a cult? I'd have to get back to you on that.

The key is study the Bible for yourself and then look to see who is really living by it and teaching it.

Mega Churches are all about the church, not God. I have been to several in SD and OC and ... waste of time.
