What is your opinion of Mission Federal Credit Union? Is it a strong financial institution? Do they have a loyal customer base?

Usually a credit union is for members only of certain kind of occupations, or some association. Like Navy Fed Credit union is for military, and DoD personnel. What is the association for Mission Federal Credit Union?

Don't know, I use California Coast. I tried to open an account at Mission Fed at one time, but it was too much of a hassle. I have no problems with CalCoast.

I have multiple accounts with Mission Federal. Although they are not my primary banking institution, I find them to be alright. Nothing outstanding, but they have low rates on loans so that is why I went with them. Opening the accounts are pretty hassle free.

Their online banking might be a little too plain jane for my liking, but that is all a personal preference. Doesn't feel or look very professional, but I don't do much of my banking with them so it doesn't really bother me.

I think it is a strong finsancial institution. It's also pretty highly regarded with the customers they do have. I know about 10 folks who have them as their primary banking institution and swear they would not go back to the big national banks.

My personal dealings with them didn't leave me with the same impression for me, but that is probably because I've been with one institution since I came to the US and am happy with them.

Mission Fed is actually the largest credit union based in San Diego County. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in San Diego County. It is a solid credit union, with good service.

But, don't you live in New Jersey?
