A great new feature Google added to it's online map program is STREET VIEW.

It lets you view actual streets close up from ground-level.

You can see everything on a street as if you were driving down the street in your car.

You can use the mouse to move forward and backward down the street (click on the N and S arrows on middle yellow line), and you can rotate your view 360 degrees (hold down left mouse button and drag map to left or right).

If you zoom in the STREET VIEW, you can read the text on billboards, signs, store fronts, etc.

The STREET VIEW feature is available for a lot of streets in San Diego.

Click on this link, and it will bring you there:

San Diego, CA, USA - Google Maps

Then click on the STREET VIEW button near the top of the map.

Next, use the zoom feature on the left of the map to zoom into the area you wish to view.

Then click on one of the double-blue lines on the roads to bring up the STREET VIEW of that road.

It's really amazing !!!

Google sent cars with 360 degree cameras mounted to the roof, down lots of streets in San Diego, and many other cities. I was viewing a street in another city, and you can see when the camera car pulled up to a gas pump. I could actually rotate the view, and see the dollar amount on the pump. The pictures were that good!!
