Most desirable places in America are becoming unattainable for the common folk. Real Estate is one of the few things of value left in America .

It is called change. Normal population growth causes it. You can't keep growing families in the same house forever and once the kids marry and have kids they need a house and once their kids marry and have kids they need a house and .................... Then add the weather, the ability of foreign buyers to ... buy and then for illegals to rent 20 to a house and the cities can't stop it and ........ the only constant is change.

That's because it was there before Carlsbad became Millionaire Central...when it was a pretty little beach town, when I lived there....same for Eden Gardens in Encinitas.

Boo hoo! Wahhh! Stop people from moving here except me! How do you know YOU didn't ruin Carlsbad for the generation that lived before YOU. YOU probably live in a modern cheap density condo yourself. Carlsbad has it good in low construction compared to booming huntington beach.

Quit acting like you're the center of the world cause you live in a desirable beach suburb. You shouldn't have moved here without expecting summer crowds and future rapid growth.

Nope, not at all...Del Mar, Solana Beach, Cardiff-By-The-Sea, THEN Encinitas...you have been educated

This is why I find myself avoiding these threads. It's just constant griping about beach towns growing, blah blah blah. Ah well, nature of it I guess. Yes, Cbad gets crowded in the summer as does O'Side, but the beautiful things is, come Oct, it's a ghost town.

I lived in Colorado for a few years in the early 2000s. They called it the "screen door" effect. It's the "now that I am here you can't be here" mentality. Kinda kindergarten really...

Exactly. We've all ruined it for the previous generations since the houses we live in now blocked someone's view, created more traffic and destroyed open space.

I lived in the area for many years longer than you have probably been alive. Irrelevant to the original post.

Nice job of derailing a thread, congrats.
