Hey,

Im moving down to SD end of January and i was wondering if you could give me a good idea where would be the right spot. My job will be along I-163 and 52 where they meet. I live in the twin cities now so am used to a little crime. I would just like to live in a safe place that no one will mess with my bike and toys and has good living conditions. I will be making pretty good money so any ideas would help. Thanks in advance.

If Biker = Bicycle, then take a look at the Bike trails along Rose Canyon. Rose Canyon is located at the end of 52 where it meets the 5. Find the Costco in Claremount, then go a bit north from it.....that area is Rose Canyon and it is a diamond out there with lots of cool bike trails. Close to the water as well.

Default question about bike routes

hey socketz,

i'm new here and living in clairemont...i have a road/mtn bybrid that i really want to make use of here, but am not finding the bountiful bike lanes & trails like Santa Barbara, where I moved from. ...you mention Rose Canyon here -- is that terrain for off-road/mountain bikes only? my tires are a little thinner than standard mtn bikes, so i'd prefer paved bike lanes or wood-chips

can you recommend any sites with maps of bike routes, or bike routes that you know of? noncompetitive riding groups?

thanks so much,
vicki
