Monster Jam and SuperCross moved out of Qualcomm due to the age of the stadium. They were going to leave San Diego, but the Padres offered them Petco Park.

I worked the last Aztec game, and was on the Press Level. The rain was coming down in sheets in front of some of the seats, and it was just like a wall.

The stadium was only 1/4 full, and people weren't even coming in from the parking lot. They would pay to park, look at the rain, and leave.

The Q is a horrible place to be when it's raining.

As of now, there are events scheduled at the Q through October 2017. If it's torn down, it'll be in 2018, which gives the employees plenty of time to find another job, the events to find other venues, and the Aztecs to make other arrangements..

I hope they move to LA. Qualcomm stadium needs to be torn down and developed into high rise housing. You can watch the chargers lose on the TV.

The land will never be made into high rise housing.

Yep
Anyone that works or lives in Mission Valley is going to be royally hosed. The traffic will be gridlock. I already avoid it if at all possible.

There is no easy way around that area.

I think this is a great opportunity to build condo developments with no parking or some condos with a shopping center because that area seems void of retail/food options.

Condo developments will never happen there.

But since you obviously have never been there, right down the street within walking distance is a shopping center (Fenton Marketplace), where you have Costco, Lowes, and several places to eat. A little further down the street is more shopping and places to eat, and as you keep going down the street you come to more shopping and places to eat.
