OP, I hope you don't plan on living in Coupeville. Have you heard about the growler jet issue? People are abandoning their homes in and around Coupeville, due to the horrific noise the new jets at the local naval base make. Word has it that it's not so bad on the south part of the island, though I don't know how reliable that is.

OP, why? WHY?????

Your QOL will not improve, except for your illegal aliens issue. Nonexistent in Sea.

So, tell us: what cool job is taking you to Seattle? Something at the UW?
Is that so? Seattle is a sanctuary city. For whom are they providing sanctuary?

That's probably left over from the 80's and the war in Guatemala, when the churches were active in providing sanctuary. Illegals are not a visible presence. Illegals getting free services isn't an issue on anyone's radar there. Alcoholics getting free housing and meals provided by the city is an issue. Illegals getting medical care and education or whatever the OP is fretting about (how would he know which ones are the illegals, anyway?) is not an issue. I challenge the OP to move into Seattle, and spot any illegals at all.

But he's not moving to Seattle, it turns out, so--moot point. Much ado about nothing.

^^^^^ I agree with you re driving in SoFla (and your other comments from this post re driving in SoFla ) I've driven in all of the 'Lower 48' states for pleasure, and SoFla is significantly worse than anywhere else in the U.S.

Come on now, it's not just victims of Rios-Montt, from the 80s. Illegals are not just those who entered the country illegally, but those who overstay their visas. It is estimated that up to 2/3 of nonimmigrant visa holders OVERSTAY.
